Installation Tips for Rolled Rubber Flooring in Gyms
Posted by Matt Garrabrants on
Installing rolled rubber flooring in a gym is a simple and straightforward process that can be done in-house or by a professional installer. Here are some tips to ensure a successful installation:
-
Clean and prepare the subfloor: Ensure that the subfloor is clean and free of debris. Level the subfloor if necessary to prevent any bumps or unevenness that may cause the rubber flooring to buckle or warp.
-
Acclimate the rubber flooring: Unroll the rubber flooring in the room it will be installed in and let it acclimate for 24-48 hours to adjust to the room's temperature and humidity.
-
Measure and cut the rubber flooring: Measure the dimensions of the room and cut the rubber flooring to fit using a sharp utility knife.
-
Adhere the rubber flooring: Apply adhesive to the subfloor and carefully lay the rubber flooring on top, starting from one end of the room and rolling it out in sections. Do not over apply rubber glue.
-
Allow time to cure: Let the adhesive dry and cure for 24-48 hours before using the gym.
